BEA is now offering an exclusive small group coaching program for ambitious middle and high school students who are ready to build, brand, and launch their own businesses. This 5-week virtual experience will guide students through every step of starting a business—from picking a profitable idea to understanding licenses, marketing, pricing, and managing their money like a CEO.

 

Led by experienced business coaches and entrepreneurs, this interactive course includes live Zoom classes, business-building activities, take-home assignments, downloadable resources, and weekly check-ins for accountability. Whether your child is launching a product, service, or digital brand—this course equips them with real-world knowledge and confidence to succeed.

  • Audience: Middle & High School Students (Grades 6–12)

  • Length: 5 Weeks

  • Session Duration: 90 minutes per week 

  • Class Size: 5–10 students max

Week 1: Build the Blueprint – Choosing Your Business Idea & Finding Your "Why"  

Friday, July 18th: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (EST)

  • Identifying your passion, skills, and community needs

  • How to brainstorm profitable ideas using a "Business Idea Matrix"

  • Difference between product-based and service-based businesses

  • Naming your business + creating your business mission

 

Week 2: Business 101 – Licensing, Legal Setup & Branding Basics  

Friday July 25th: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (EST)

  • Types of businesses (LLC, sole proprietorship, DBA, etc.) simplified for students

  • Steps to legally set up a business (including EIN, local licensing)

  • Importance of brand identity: logo, color palette, and brand voice

  • Create a basic brand board

 

Week 3: Show Up & Sell – Marketing, Promotion & Social Media Strategy  

Friday August 1st: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (EST)

  • How to build awareness with zero budget (school, family, social circles)

  • Creating a basic social media content plan

  • Elevator pitch + creating a promo video (script + filming tips)

  • Understanding digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Canva, Mailchimp)

 

Week 4: Count the Coins – Pricing, Profits & Bookkeeping for Beginners

Friday, August 8th: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (EST)

  • Cost vs. value: How to price your products/services the smart way

  • Setting profit goals + calculating expenses

  • Intro to basic bookkeeping (Google Sheets, Wave, or Notion)

  • Tools to track sales, receipts, and goals

 

Week 5: Launch Time – Presentation, Feedback & Next Steps

  • Students present their businesses to the group (Pitch Showcase!)

  • Peer & coach feedback on their brand, pitch, and pricing

  • Steps for launching officially: website, payment tools, etc.

  • How to stay consistent & scale over time

  • Graduation Celebration + Certificate of Completion
